Yoga has always been a science of human potential — a way to thrive.
Zuna Yoga® brings timeless yogic wisdom into dialogue with modern science to reveal what has yet to be discovered within us. What we offer is an embodied system for learning and living with purpose.
To connect · Align · Integrate
Yoga is more than postures — it is a living system for self-development.
We’ll share a treasure trove of important techniques and essential philosophy, that together support a more beautiful way of living. Yoga is to be embodied not as technique, but as awareness in action.
Zuna — from the Sanskrit śuna (शुन): growth, success, prosperity, welfare. Monier-Williams, A Sanskrit-English Dictionary (1899), p. 1082
Zuna Yoga is an international yoga school integrating traditional yoga, breathwork, meditation, nervous system education, and yogic philosophy into a modern approach to yoga education.
You can watch a concert on television. It’s not the same as being there. Online study is useful, and some programmes offer live sessions, but it’s still largely intellectual. There are no hands-on adjustments, and no chance to work with a range of bodies. You’re also learning alone, without a room of people meeting the same challenges, which teaches something on its own.
You study for a few hours and return to the life that formed the personal habits you likely came to examine. Without separation these behavioural patterns remain elusive, because you never leave the conditions producing them.
Better than online in many ways. You’ll spend time with other people, you’ll get more personal attention and hands-on adjustments, and it costs less than a residential training. You get real-time corrections, and you’ll see how the same instruction lands differently in different bodies.
Where it falls short is depth. Learning arrives in fragments across months, with a working week in between each one, so each session is spent recovering ground rather than building on it. And it still doesn’t give you the separation from your life’s routines that deep self-inquiry usually needs.
Step out of your life entirely and live inside the practice. Twelve hours a day for weeks, with the same people, in a place where nothing asks anything else of you. Meals and housekeeping are handled, and you’re in a serene natural setting with time to reflect on life.
That’s the point. The habits you came to examine are produced by conditions you’re normally inside of, and you can’t see them from in there. Take the conditions away and the patterns surface on their own. Once you can see them, you can decide what to do about them. Nobody can do that part for you. No format can offer more.
Through practice, lectures and workshops you’ll explore the traditions of Hatha and Tantra alongside the science behind them. You’ll work with posture, breathwork, meditation, and functional anatomy to support proper alignment, body mechanics and somatics.
You’ll refine your ability to stay comfortably stable in the face of challenge. That discipline creates the friction that builds fortitude and refines character. This is also the catalyst that transforms practice into a mirror, where our conditioning is revealed: the patterns, the ego, the behaviours we never chose. With practice we learn to clear these distortions for a more empowering relationship with life, and return home to our authentic self.
Translation into a modern context is what unlocks its greatest value. We’ll share this timeless wisdom in a relatable and digestible way that can bring powerful insight to living your best life.
How a posture is performed changes what it offers you. You’ll learn to read the body to find the alignment and balance that achieve strength and stability with the least effort.
to wisely arrange in order for the purpose of progress. Zuna Yoga mindfully builds every class with an arc: preparation, apex, resolution.
Our method of breathwork is the organising force between body and mind. It supports regulation and perception, brings stability to movement, and opens depth in meditation.
Meditation offers powerful insight into our relationship with life. We’ll journey through a variety of techniques to help you find both depth and reward, starting with the essentials of a good seat and posture. Get that right and the rest follows.
82trainings since 2009

24years of teaching and refining the program
16students maximum, reduced class size by design for more personal attention
Across this year's cohort surveys, 87% of respondents reported greater confidence in the direction of their life, more strength, and more trust in themselves.
At Zuna Yoga®, learning is designed to be lived. Our methodology integrates experiential practice, reflection, and dialogue to support meaningful understanding and long-term integration.

You practise in the morning, then get the thinking behind what you just did, then the evidence underneath it. Same material, three angles, the same day. It’s why the ideas land rather than being asserted at you.

You’ll be seen, corrected, supported, and known by name. The group becomes part of how you learn, as you watch fifteen other people meet the same difficulties in fifteen different bodies, with fifteen different minds.

Every group is different, so the training arc is built for the people in it. What you’re struggling with today changes how the programme gets taught tomorrow, but the curriculum is always delivered in full.

It was definitely more than just meditation training. We went deeper into knowing and understanding the self. We built excellent routines, which were life-changing. I also had the chance to meet wonderful people from across the world, and two excellent facilitators led the course. We laughed, we practiced, we learned, and we cried. I will definitely come back for the 200 YTT. Zuna Yoga is the Harvard of Yoga 🫶🏾🧘Posted on Google katya derezenkoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am genuinely blown away by my experience with ZUNA Yoga. It exceeded every single expectation I had — and I came in with very high ones. The level of training they provide is absolutely exceptional: deeply structured, intelligent, and incredibly enriching on every layer — physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual. The knowledge base they share is unreal. Every lecture, every practice, every breathwork session felt like a doorway into something higher. Their teachers are not just knowledgeable — they are wise, supportive, and deeply dedicated to the true essence of yoga. The atmosphere is powerful and nourishing at the same time. You feel held, expanded, challenged, and supported in the most beautiful way. The community is incredibly welcoming — a group of people who genuinely uplift and inspire one another. I felt seen, connected, and guided throughout the entire journey. This training has transformed me. It’s one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had, and I cannot wait to return and deepen my studies with their 200-hour yoga program. ZUNA Yoga is truly world-class, and I’m endlessly grateful to have learned from them. Highly, highly recommended.Posted on Google carmen dawsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have recently completed the 300hr Meditation Teacher Training in Tabanan, Bali. The location was absolutely stunning! It was worth doing just to spend 4 weeks practicing yoga in the jungle, over looking rice fields at the base of Mount Batukaru. The course itself was world class and I couldn't imagine there existing a teacher with as much passion, knowledge and experience as Everett Newell. Everyday he intuitively knew exactly what I needed to hear. If you want a teacher training to further your state of being along the path to smarana then choose this course. Both teachers were amazing. They encompassed a perfect balance of teaching styles to guide, teach and support all students, creating a safe space for both learning and self development. Everyone should do this course, whether you are looking to teach or purely just to learn how to meditate. I'm so glad I found Zuna to start my journey into truth through yoga. Amazing!!Posted on Google HansTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Best Yoga on the planet. Period.Posted on Google Hoda KermaniTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did my 200 YTT at Zuna Yoga in June. The weeks I spent at Zuna were beyond a training to become a yoga teacher. It was a journey to get inward and connect with myself in a deeper way than I had ever before. I not only feel confident to start teaching soon but also got many tools to maintain a deeper connection within myself. I’m very happy I got the chance to join Zuna yoga’s teacher training.Posted on Google Ziliang YangTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joined the 75-hour FOUNDATIONS OF YOGA training (first week out of the 3 week YTT200 training) this June in Bali. Absolutely loved the experience, and it transformed how I view yoga & life. Would love to return and complete the YTT200 with Zuna. Great teachers, stunning surroundings, and amazing food. Highly recommend!Posted on Google Helena ReiswichTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend Zuna Yoga. I did my 200ytt in March 2025. It was one of the best things I ever ever did in my life. It opened my eyes and I could change things in my life that I was scared of before this course. I am so thankful for this time with Everett and his team, they did a great job and will stay in my heart for ever. Thank you for everything Zuna Yoga 🙏 In Love HelenaPosted on Google Nate SchicklerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Zuna yoga on the Yoga Alliance website as one of the top rated and most reviewed schools in Bali. I signed up last-minute, just wanting to get deeper into a personal yoga practice and learn more about yoga as opposed to becoming a yoga teacher. However, this ended up being the most transformative three weeks of my life. I've been inspired to teach and share yoga so others can experience the same profound benefits I've gained from this practice. Many thanks to Everett, Marion, and the entire Zuna yoga team! I can't imagine a better YTT -- if you're really looking to get deeper into yoga this is the one!Posted on Google Lulu HonoluluTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zuna Yoga is hands down one of the best yoga schools out there. What makes it so special is how seamlessly it blends tradition with modern science—honoring the deep philosophical roots of Hatha yoga while also incorporating the latest research on the effects of yoga and meditation. It’s the perfect balance of wisdom and practicality, giving you a truly holistic understanding of the practice. Everett’s teaching style is what really sets Zuna apart. With over 40 years of yoga experience and 30+ years in martial arts, he brings a unique perspective on energy, strength, and inner power. His ability to explain complex concepts in a way that’s both insightful and immediately applicable makes the learning experience incredibly rich. You don’t just practice yoga here—you embody it. If you’re looking for a yoga education that goes beyond the basics and gives you a deep, embodied understanding of the practice, Zuna Yoga is the place to be. It’s an experience that will not only transform your teaching but also your personal practice and perspective on life.Posted on Google Anina JudTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I completed the 300h YTT at Zuna Yoga in Bali in July 2024. After a long search for a suitable training, the philosophy behind Zuna Yoga really appealed to me... and I was not disappointed. The training was challenging, not so much physically as mentally. As a very active person, it was especially challenging for me to meditate so often and for so long, as well as to spend time in silence. But that was exactly what i needed. This training helped me to reconnect with my true self. I learnt a lot that I can't really put into words. The teachers are very competent and teach yoga in a way that is true to life. A great balance between spirituality and science. Even I have questioned a lot since then, I feel like I understand yoga better and can really live it. Since the training, things in my life are slowly changing in a positive direction. I am incredibly grateful to the Zuna Yoga team for this journey.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. The Zuna Yoga® Online Studio offers a space for our global community to connect, learn, and practice yoga, meditation, and breathwork at your own pace, no matter where you are in the world.
Zuna Yoga® is non-dogmatic, non-hierarchical, and non-religious. We do not ask you to believe or follow. We offer a structured path of inquiry grounded in direct experience.
Our approach empowers you to become your own authority. Through embodied practice and reflection, you learn to recognize your innate strength, intelligence, and creative capacity.
Our yoga is a path of self-realization. Learning to trust your inner compass and act from awareness rather than conditioning is the foundation of empowered leadership.
At Zuna Yoga®, the body is not something to perfect, but to refine. The cultivation of body awareness, combined with specific conscious breathing techniques, creates a unique somatic approach that supports the reorganization of neuromuscular patterns and the development of whole-body coordination.
Movement becomes guided by sensation and breath; effort softens, and strength arises through greater precision and efficiency. As sensitivity deepens, it becomes a source of stability and adaptability, supporting a more intelligent way of moving and living.
Rather than teaching fragmented blocks of styles, Zuna Yoga® offers a coherent, integrated method.
By learning how and why practices work, you gain the capacity to adapt intelligently to different bodies, contexts, and needs. Teaching emerges from integration, not imitation.
Graduates leave grounded in their own authentic voice, able to guide others with confidence across contexts, levels of experience, and styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Power Yoga and Meditation.
Most modern yoga stops at calming the mind and relieving stress. At Zuna Yoga®, we see this as only the beginning.
Rooted in the wisdom of Tantra and Hatha Yoga, and informed by contemporary understanding of human development, our method explores yoga as a system of self-mastery. We engage the full spectrum of yogic tools — asana, pranayama, bandha, mudra, mantra, meditation, and inquiry — not merely for wellness, but to awaken deeper self-knowledge.
This is Soul Science: where ancient insight and modern understanding converge to support clarity, purpose and the capacity to live freely and fully.
More than a setting, our learning environment is shaped by local culture, close connection to nature, and a commitment to sustainable living.
The serenity and beauty of places like Saridevi are part of why Bali is one of the world’s top destinations for yoga teacher training. Our home there is a family-run sanctuary in the village of Wongaya Gede, surrounded by rice terraces, jungle, and the sacred presence of Mount Batukaru — and Zuna Yoga is its exclusive training school.
The village is also home to Pura Luhur Batukaru, one of the six holiest temples in Bali and guardian of the island’s western direction. Named for Dewi Sri, the Balinese goddess of rice and fertility, Saridevi is eco-conscious and locally sourced, built around simplicity and presence. It’s a place where daily practice, reflection, and conscious living become simply how you live.
